The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly general membership luncheon meeting at the Saipan World Resort today, March 6, 2013. Luncheon will be served at 11am, and the meeting will begin at 11:30am, not the usual 12pm.
Gov. Eloy S. Inos accepted the Chamber's request to speak to the business community and will be the guest speaker. Meeting commences at 11:30am so as to give Inos ample opportunity to deliver his remarks.
In general, Inos will be discussing current economic challenges and how the administration intends to address them. He will also discuss, among other issues, the financial outlook of the CNMI government, the idea of extending the transition period for CW workers, and the issue of minimum wage.
The Northern Marianas College will also provide valuable information concerning the newly established relationship between NMC and the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education.
Luncheon is $20 for Chamber members and $30 for guests and the public. Call the Chamber office at 233-7150 for reservation, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org. (SCC)
