Benavente, Hayes nominees for Businesswoman of the Year

HAGÅTÑA, Guam-Two female executives on Saipan join seven other nominees for the 2013 Businesswoman of the Year Maga’haga award of the First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine

Vicky Benavente, executive assistant, Pacific Islands Club Saipan; and Annie G. Hayes, assistant general manager, Herman's Modern Bakery, will be competing with seven other nominees from Guam for the annual award that honors businesswomen in the Marianas region.

The other nominees are Loisa Cabuhat, realtor, Coral Sea Realty; Dr. Annette David, director, Consulting Services, Health Partners LLC; Lisa Lenckowski, marketing manager, Outrigger Guam Resort; Geraldine Leon Guerrero, general manager, Adztech; Beatrice P. “Tricee” Limtiaco, president, Perez Bros. Inc.; Marie Calvo Monge, chief operating officer of the stations of KUAM; and Cecilia T. Y. “Nancy” Robato, principal broker, Pacific Pearl Properties.

The Maga’haga Award will be presented at the Businesswoman of the Year gala on April 27, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Guam in conjunction with the release of the Guam Business Magazine May/June issue, featuring a commissioned photo study of the recipient on its cover. Proceeds from the gala will fund scholarships at the University of Guam, Guam Community College, and Northern Marianas College.

The 2012 Businesswoman of the Year Maga’haga award recipient was Mary P. Rhodes (2012), president of the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association and president of MARQ Consulting Services.

Okada (2009), executive manager of Carlsmith Ball LLP, and president and owner of Managing Consulting Services; Julienne Rose Perez Duenas (2008), physical therapist, owner and clinical director of Sports, Orthopedic and Active Rehabilitation Inc.; Christine Won Pat Baleto (2007), general manager of Market Wholesale Distributors; and Katherine Calvo Sgro (2006), executive vice President and chairwoman of the board of Pay-Less Markets Inc.
