Gov. Eloy S. Inos and Lt. Gov. Jude U. Hofschneider received other courtesy resignations including those of Department of Public Works Secretary Anthony A. Camacho and Commerce Secretary Sixto Igisomar, press secretary Angel Demapan said yesterday.
As of yesterday, the governor and lieutenant governor have yet to decide whether to accept or reject these two courtesy resignations, along with that of Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Secretary Melvin Faisao.
“Governor Inos may be meeting with Secretary Faisao [today] to discuss his performance report. Until then, the governor has not made a decision on this matter yet,” Demapan said.
The three-week-old Inos administration continues to review the performance reports that Cabinet members and agency heads submitted.
An incumbent lawmaker is eyeing the position of DCCA secretary, sources said. Former lieutenant governor Diego Benavente will also be heading a government agency, sources added.
So far, the Inos administration has so far confirmed keeping Department of Public Safety Commissioner James Deleon Guerrero, Corrections Commissioner Ray Mafnas, and Workforce Investment Agency director Edith Deleon Guerrero.
