The CNMI Energy Division recently announced its upcoming Compact Fluorescent Lights Event that aims to provide Rota residents the opportunity to get free energy-efficient Energy Star-rated bulbs.
This program, funded under the Energy, Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, aims to help homeowners reduce their energy consumption and to encourage and promote energy conservation within the CNMI.
Division staff will be distributing eight energy-efficient Energy Star-rated CFL's and a reusable bag to each residential consumer at the Rota Sinapalo CUC Payment Center. The event will be held on the dates specified below and CFL's will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
-March 20, 2013: 10am to 4pm
-March 21, 2013: 8am to 4pm
In order to receive the CFL's and the reusable bag, residential consumers must present a valid identification card with photo and a copy of their most recent CUC utility bill with their name on the billing. Only one re-usable bag containing eight CFLs will be issued per household. Businesses are not eligible to participate in the event.
