The Unified Basketball Association and Rollers Basketball will be hosting the 2013 Docomo Spring Break Basketball Tournament later this month.
The competition, which is sponsored by NTT DoCoMo Docomo Pacific and Tan Siu Lin Foundation, will start on March 23 and will have two divisions, the U17 and U30. Games in the U17 will run from March 23 to March 28, while the U30 matches will be played from April 1 to 6.
Entry fees are only $150 and each team is allowed to have a 12-man roster. Only the first eight teams in the U17 to complete the entry fees and registration and waiver forms will be allowed to play, while the maximum participants for U30 age group is six teams.
Both divisions will have a round-robin format in the elimination and the Top 4 teams will advance to the single-elimination playoffs. Games in the elimination round will be played in two 15-minute haves, while the championship matches will have two 20-minute halves.
Matches on March 23 and 24 will be played from 8am to 8pm at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium of the TSL Sports Complex in Middle Road, while the March 25 to 28 games will run from 4pm to 9pm. For the U30 tiffs, April 1 to April 5's schedule is from 4 to 9pm, while the March 6 playdate will be from 8am to 8pm.
Trophies will be awarded to the champion teams. The top finisher in the U17 division will also get $200 worth of gift certificates, while the U30 champion will get $200 cash.
Requirements should be turned in on or before March 20, while representatives of participating teams must attend the March 23 technical meeting and drawing of slots at 6pm at the Garapan Guidance Center.
