BREAKING NEWS
Woman killed, boyfriend suffers serious injuries in car crash

Naomi Benjamin died while her boyfriend suffered serious injuries when a car they were riding swerved and slammed into a power pole in front of the Gilbert C. Ada Gym in Susupe early morning today, Saturday.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Thomas Blas Jr. confirmed that the passenger (Benjamin) was pronounced dead at the Commonwealth Health Center at 2:43am.

Blas said the driver suffered back, neck, and internal injuries and was taken to CHC's intensive care unit.

Blas said preliminary investigation showed that the victims' yellow Hyundai Genesis sedan was heading southbound along Beach Road when it lost control.

The car entered the parking lot of Ada Gym, went over the curves and parking stalls, and then struck a power pole.

After the strong impact, the car overturned. The pole was also toppled.

Blas said they received the call about the accident at 2am.

More details to follow.
