Businessman Yoon arrested for sexual abuse of a girl

Businessman Ho Jin Yoon was arrested on Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl.

Yoon was served with an arrest warrant on charges that include sexual abuse of a minor, child abuse, and assault and battery.

Yoon, 58, was released yesterday from jail after posting $50,000 cash bail. The Superior Court ordered him to appear in court on March 20 at 9am.

Detective Therese S. Kintoki stated in her report that a police officer received on Monday a call from the Division of Youth Services about a sexual abuse of a minor case victim at the Commonwealth Health Center.

Kintoki said investigation showed that Yoon allegedly sexually abused the girl using his finger at a residence in Garapan.

When the girl cried, Yoon allegedly stopped and promised he would not do it again.

The girl apparently confessed to her mother, who confronted her after she discharged blood and experiencing pain while urinating.

A doctor later examined the girl.

Yoon owns San Jose Mart and 99 Cents Supermarket.
