Chamber to revive Corporate Mixers

Saipan Chamber of Commerce president Alex Sablan announced plans to revive and reinvent the past Chamber's after hour social mixers as a way to connect the business community and showcase products and services amongst friends.

The SCC Events Committee chairpersons, Nola Hix of Xerox Corp. and Kevin McCale of Docomo Pacific Inc., announced the first quarterly mixer for March 22, 2013 at the Kanoa Resort's Barefoot Beach Bar, from 6pm to 8pm. Appetizers will start the evening, and game show entertainment will be provided by Chamber company teams competing against one another for bragging rights and some hopefully embarrassing moments.

SCC companies will compete against each other, two at a time, in the SCC Corporate Feud, fashioned after the popular Family Feud game show TV program. Teams will consist of five-member panels, who will field questions from a popular local emcee. The questions and their answers will be provided by the Northern Marianas College in surveys secretly and confidentially tabulated expressly for the SCC Corporate Feud.

Each quarterly Chamber mixer's Corporate Feud winner will be forwarded to the Ultimate Corporate Feud to be staged in December 2013. Any proceeds earned will go directly into the SCC College Scholarship Fund used to award, this year, $12,000 in college scholarships to Saipan resident students.

Call the Chamber at 233-7150, or email to coordinator@saipanchamber.com, to register your team for the March, June, or September Corporate Feud. All three quarterly winners will qualify for the December mixer's Ultimate Feud.

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1959 and incorporated in 1976, is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Chamber works to promote and protect business, economic and civic interests, and the general health and welfare of our islands. (SCC)
