Another Global Day of Prayer for Peace in the West Philippine Sea will be held at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion this Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas Chapter will once again be organizing the event in collaboration with the Association of Filipino Pastors on Saipan. It will also be held in commemoration of 30th death anniversary of Philippine democracy icon Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.
USP4GG Marianas Chapter chair Dr. Celia Lamkin said the Global Day of Prayer for Peace and Ninoy Aquino death anniversary commemoration will be from 6pm to 8pm at the Susupe landmark.
She said the Calvary International Mission and Filipino Community Church, the Marianas Christian Church, Upper Room International Ministry, Victorious Christian Church, Marianas Bible Fellowship Center, Missions Connections Ministry, and El Shaddai have already confirmed their participation.
Besides the event at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion, the nine Catholic churches on Saipan (except the Tanapag church) and on Tinian will offer intentions for the Global Day of Prayer for Peace and Ninoy Aquino’s death anniversary commemoration at 6pm this Wednesday.
Lamkin also coordinated the global day of prayer for peace in Guam and Hawaii. Other countries such as the Philippines, New Zealand, and most cities in the U.S. mainland will join this event.
