Dora Grace Ada Camacho, who passed away early Wednesday morning, will be buried in San Diego, Calif., according to her mother, Jennifer C. Ada.
Ada, who corresponded with Saipan Tribune through Facebook, said she is asking the CNMI community and everyone touched by her amazing daughter one last favor, which is help for her funeral expenses, expected to be around $4,000.
“I just want to thank all the loving hearts of the community on Saipan, Tinian, Rota, Guam, and all around that donated and is planning to donate to my little girl. I also want to thank everybody for all the prayers and support they gave to my little girl that allowed her to enjoy her last moments here and on Saipan. It was a joy to see my girl happy and brave. It was an honor to have included everybody in her life. She has made everyone a part of her family and it is good to know she wasn’t alone in fighting the hard times she suffered,” wrote Ada.
Dora, as Camacho is known, is also survived by her brother Devin Sean A. Camacho and sisters Geraldine Jennifer A. Sablan and Clarissa Claire A. Sablan.
The 30-year-old Ada said she would also like to extend her thanks to Joe Gayatao, who has steadfastly served as Dora and her other children’s father-figure the past several months.
“He has been wonderful man who has been a great father-figure to Dora. She has been happy since she met him because she grew up without a father and when this man came into our lives she was happy in her last moments.”
Ada also shared the kind words her late daughter’s doctor shared with the family soon after Dora’s passing.
“I have never met a little girl such as my patient like Dora. She is not only beautiful and bright, but she has a strong heart as well. She is a fighter and it was my pleasure taking care of her. She was very polite and she is smart as well.”
