Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation will be hosting another Saipan Next Top Chef competition on Nov 30, 2013, at the Pacific Islands Club, from 2pm to 4pm.
Five contestants will be competing for third, second, and the grand prize award in this year’s edition of the competition.
Proceeds from this event will go toward the purchase of school supplies to help needy families on Saipan.
The previous year’s event was very successful, with Emmanuel Pacha from Marianas Resort & Spa walking off with the grand prize and bragging rights as Saipan’s Top Chef. The 2011 edition of the competition was won by Melquiades de Ramos of Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.
The 2012 Saipan Next Top Chef also featured Chef Peter Duenas, celebrity host of TV Outdoor Chef from Guam, as one of the judges.
Chefs who want to earn the title of Saipan’s Next Top Chef for 2013 are invited to register with Vicky Benavente, executive assistant for PIC, at 237-5101 or email her at email@example.com; or via Rose Smith of Empty Vessel at 483-0162 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Empty Vessel appreciates our major sponsor, Pacific Island Club, for their help in organizing the 2013 Saipan Next Top Chef competition,” said Smith. “We also appreciate those who have stood by us through their financial donations, resources, and volunteering their time in our activities.”
The Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation is a non-profit, faith-based organization committed to helping women and children by providing basic needs and tools for children on Saipan and making a difference in the lives of orphans, street children, and women abroad, through our various fundraising activities.
Among the exciting fundraising project sponsored by Empty Vessel is the recent launching of the Eldoret Street Market in Kenya in April 2013, an idea born out of the Garapan Street Market. (PR)
