The Mariana Islands Nature Alliance recently welcomed the Tan Siu Lin Foundation as a grand sponsor of its upcoming Green Gala event.
The Green Gala, which will be held on Sept. 7, 2013, a Saturday, at the Fiesta Resort’s Hibiscus Hall, aims to raise critical funds to help MINA, a nonprofit organization, continue its work in protecting the environment.
“The Tan Siu Lin Foundation has been a staunch supporter of environmental efforts in the CNMI and of the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance,” said Frankie Eliptico, MINA board chairperson. “We’re extremely happy to welcome them again as a sponsor for this year’s Green Gala event.”
The leading conservation nonprofit organization in the Commonwealth, MINA has successfully implemented many projects, including the Obyan Rehabilitation Project, the Teacher Environmental Camp, the Marine Debris Prevention program, Tasi Watch Project, and the Adopt-A-Bin Project, which has placed recycle bins at all the major beaches on the island.
In order to continue its efforts to preserve and protect the CNMI’s fragile environment and biodiversity, MINA is seeking the community’s participation in the Green Gala event. The organization is supported by project grants and from generous contributions from local businesses and community members.
In addition to great entertainment, dinner and a variety of beverages, The Green Gala will feature highlights from MINA’s projects, a silent auction, and many other activities that promise a memorable evening.
“It’s going to be a great night for the environment,” said Fran Castro, MINA board member who is also leading the planning for the Gala activities.
The other grand sponsors of the event include the Joeten Charitable Foundation and Power 99. Major sponsors include IT&E, Docomo, DFS Galleria, Bank of Guam, and Bridge Capital. Other event donors include TakeCare Insurance, Triple J Enterprises, 360 Revolving Restaurant, SUP SPN, Delta Airlines, Delta Management, JEM Kagman Mobil, Marianas Variety, Hyatt, Moylan’s, Jose Quan, Pacific Islands Club, Burger & Comer, Mark James, Handbags Etc., Iridescent, Pena House, Blue Continent Communications (KKMP), 670 Rock Steady, Angil Design, Blossom’s and Dial Rent to Own.
