After the tremendous success of its Salsa Night in July, Coffee & Jazz Lounge Bar will be hosting a Latino Night tomorrow starting at 7pm
Operations manager Kayoko “Kay” Irinaka said they had a lot of rave reviews when they held Salsa Night a couple of months back. She said it only makes sense to expand the repertoire of Spanish dance tunes and ballroom dances by staging Latino Night on Sept. 13.
While Salsa Night was limited to salsa, Irinaka said Latino Night will have the whole shebang—cha-cha, merengue, cumbia, salsa, mambo, bachata, reggaetton, and much more.
As an added treat, Coffee & Jazz Lounge Bar will be giving away free sangrias as a welcome drink to all who show up for Latino Night. Cover charge is also free and so is a dance lesson for those who want to learn the rudiments of Latin dances.
One of the newest hangouts on Saipan, Coffee & Jazz is located on the second floor of the ABC Building across DFS Galleria in Garapan.
Since opening in late May, the establishment has had a good following among the island’s youth and young-at-heart. Its patrons have become fond of its preppy frapuccino, moccachino, and cappuccino blends as well as its unique dishes like pirozhki (traditional Russian soft bread) and Caesar salad.
Aside from its many brews made from the locally made and world-famous Marianas Coffee brand, Coffee & Jazz is also making a name for itself for its water-based tobacco smoking station called the hookha.
Coffee & Jazz comfortably seats 40 people and is open from 11am to 11pm everyday of the week. It is also open for private party functions for a minimum reservation of $500 consumable food and drinks. The place boasts of high-tech sound systems and lighting.
Coffee & Jazz is also planning more party events in the future.
