It’s the wave event you’ve been waiting for! The Flow Tour competition is coming to Saipan on Sept. 27 at 5pm and Sept. 28 starting at 10am.
These tours are held in Asia, Europe, and the USA and this month the Pacific Islands Club Saipan will host the 7th Annual Flowboarding Competition featuring competitors from Saipan, Japan, and Korea.
Delta Air Lines is pleased to support the upcoming Asia Flow Series hosted by Pacific Islands Club Saipan. We invite the entire community to come down to PIC to participate in this exciting event. We wish the tournament organizers a successful event,” said Delta Air Lines Inside Sales representative Chris A. Concepcion.
Flow riders will be judged on trick and run execution, overall impression and difficulty throughout the two-day event.
The panel of judges will include flowboarding champion Alfian Affandi, a familiar name in the pro scene. Affandi, who is from Singapore, has won top place in several Flow Championships in Asia and the USA. Local 2012 champion, Dan Westfall, and top finisher, Ray Babauta will return to compete for a chance to win cash prizes at the PIC Saipan.
PIC is hosting a total of nine divisions this year. The Master’s Division (for flowriders 35 and older) is the latest addition. The winners of the Pro Men’s and Pro Women’s Bodyboard divisions along with the Pro Mixed Flowboard winners will be granted a slot into the Asia Series finals to be held in Singapore Oct. 5.
PM Practice sessions start this week (Sept. 17-18-19) and will continue next week as well (Sept. 24-25-26). The 6pm to 8pm sessions are for paid competitors only and is a great venue for flowriders to compare notes.
Registration forms are still available and deadline is on Sept. 27. Entry forms can be obtained by calling Glenn Policare at the PIC Saipan, 237-5148 or email at email@example.com. (PR)
