The local chapter of the U.S. Pinoys for Goof Governance extends its heartfelt gratitude for supporters of its recent events on island.
“The U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas Chapter would like to extend our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to those who have collaborated, helped, supported and assisted for the success and realization of the following events,” said USP4GG Marianas Chapter chair Dr. Celia Lamkin.
The events USP4GG organized include the “Peaceful Global Day of Protest and Prayer Against China’s Invasion of the Philippines” last July 24, the “3rd Global Day of Prayer for Peace and Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Assassination of Ninoy Aquino” last Aug. 21, “Proclamation of September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance” in the morning of Sept. 11, and “Commemoration of the 12th Anniversary of September 11 attacks and 12th Anniversary of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance” held in the evening of Sept. 11.
‘“To all who have helped, assisted, and supported in one way or the other, thank you very much, maraming salamat po, and si yu’us ma’ase!” said Lamkin.
Continuing with its public service, the USP4GG held a free three-hour health screening on Sept. 21, at the Filcom Pavilion near the Sabalu Market in Susupe.
In collaboration with Marianas Eye Institute, the health screening included checks on blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, height, body mass index, and vision. There was also free counseling by the Upper Room International Ministries headed by pastor Danny Ibanez. (Saipan Tribune)
