A woman’s dream about her boyfriend having an affair triggered a brawl between the two at their house in Garapan last week. Both were arrested.
Parvej MD. Barpery, 43, was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace. Daisina Suda, 40, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. Both posted bail.
Detective Therese S. Kintoki’s report states that police received a call about a disturbance along Puti Tainobu Avenue in Garapan on Sept. 16 at 8:10am.
Kintoki said preliminary investigation showed that Barpery had just come home from work when Suda told him she dreamt of him having an affair. That provoked an angry exchange between the two that escalated into a fight.
Barpery allegedly punched Suda several times and pulled her hair. Suda, on the other hand, grabbed a knife twice but her daughter managed to wrest it from her. Suda also allegedly threw rocks at Barpery but failed to hit him.
A separate report filed by police detective Steven N. Dela Cruz stated that it was Suda who first slapped Barpery in the face.
Suda left the house after Barpery told her he would call the police.
