Pretty in Pink Foundation together with the Bikers Association on Tinian held the Pedaling for Progress 35K Race last Saturday with the event starting and ending at Taga Beach.
More than 30 bikers registered for the early morning race with Norlo Jacosalem leading the finishers list.
Jacosalem completed the race in 1:20:33 to top the men’s 36-and-above age group. He defeated Charlie Cabreros and Fernando Cacabelos, who clocked in at 1:25:39 and 1:28:40, respectively.
In the men’s 35-and-below age group, Dawn Sarmiento came in first with his 1:29:18, while Arwin Reyes finished second after submitting 1:36:37.
In the women’s division, the top finisher was Rosalina Lazaro, who logged 1:44:41. She also won the women’s 35-and-below age group, defeating Isabel Lazaro (2:01:17). In the 36-and-above age group, Marjorie Cabay recorded 2:06:30 to prevail over Zania Fleming (2:22:01).
Other finishers in the weekend race were Robert Fajardo (1:29:51), Winston Omar (1:30:48), Edgar Jabinar (1:33:39), Ulysses Gania (1:41:40), Dennis Deala (1:44:00), Julian Hofschneider (1:54:31), and Jake Cruz (2:13:21), and Margo Gifford.
