With the growth in Guam’s tourism industry, there are growing opportunities in the hotel industry and those opportunities will be highlighted in a three-day conference this month in Hong Kong.
The Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific, or HICAP, is considered one of the most established conferences for the hotel investment and development community. The event gathers some of the region’s biggest players and executives, who will network and explore opportunities, and exchange ideas.
Guam currently sees roughly 1.3 million international visitors annually, and those numbers are expected to grow exponentially. Visitor markets also continue to expand, resulting in many opportunities in the hotel industry.
The Guam Economic Development Authority, along with the Guam Visitors Bureau, and the Guam International Airport Authority will present, “Guam: America’s and Asia’s Best Kept Secret.” The team will share information on the island, and invite investors to be part of the U.S. territory’s growth.
This conference will be a great chance to market Guam as not just a prime visitor destination, but also a fantastic location for businesses and investments.
Discussions will also focus on “Hot Investment Markets,” “Alternative Development Models,” and “Emerging Markets.”
The conference will be at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kowloon. It will run from Oct. 16 to 18. (GEDA)
