The Friends of the Arts will be holding its first membership meeting of the 2014 season on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Taste of India Restaurant in Garapan. A delicious Indian buffet will open the program at 6:30pm with entertainment starting at 7pm or shortly thereafter, interspersed with a brief rundown of FOA business to include announcement and tickets for the upcoming 2014 season, which will begin on Oct. 25, 26, 27 at the MHS Dolphin Theater with a production of The Ives Have It: The Ways and Means of David Ives, a selection of one act plays by David Ives. Season tickets will be available at $40 for adults and $25 for students.
The cost for the membership meeting is the same as in previous meetings: $15 for adult members of FOA (age 12 and above) and guests, $8 for children (age 4-12) and no charge for children younger than 4 years.
“We have had membership meetings at the Taste of India Restaurant before and everyone greatly enjoyed the food. There will also be vegetarian dishes. If you have a favorite dish, let me know and I will try to include it. Aji Thomas, the manager for the Taste of India, is a member of FOA,” said FOA’s Frank Gibson.
