As the CNMI experiences heavy rains in the heart of the rainy season, IT&E requests patience and understanding from customers who are experiencing service outages.
Due to the high volume of rain and difficulty working with electrical circuits, IT&E technicians have been unable to assist customers as expediently as they have throughout the year. The nature of reconnection work precludes IT&E technicians from working in downpour conditions, leading some IT&E landline customers to experience service interruptions that last longer than customers have typically come to expect.
According to IT&E Plant Technical Service manager Velma Palacios, delays caused by the CNMI’s rainy season are nothing new to companies that operate in the Marianas.
“We experience these weather-related delays this time every year,” said Palacios. “While the satisfaction of our customers is among our top priorities, we place the safety of our employees above all else.”
IT&E appreciates the patience and understanding of all our valued customers while IT&E technicians and service crews work to restore service.
