Marianas High School will be working in collaboration with Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.’s Division of Public Health, HIV/STD Prevention Program to educate its students in the area of sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs, including HIV. This outreach activity suits the purpose of educating MHS students on:
- How to access counseling and testing services for HIV and other common STDs;
- What the signs and symptoms are of STDs;
- Information on the current STD data in the CNMI; and
- Information on the medical and social services available in the community.
Certified counselors will be available on site to assess at-risk students and offer free and confidential HIV and STD testing. Outreach activity will be held at MHS gymnasium on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 8:30am to 3pm. (MHS)
