The newest hangout of coffee lovers in town unveiled yesterday its expanded breakfast menu and those who sampled The Coffee Room N-106’s eclectic offerings had high praise for the near-gourmet food.
Pacific Trading Co. general manager Charles Cepeda, for one, loved the Salmon Omelet in the Glass; he said it’s a unique take on one of his favorite meals. The presentation allows you to somehow play with your food because you have to “dig into the glass to mix the different flavors.”
Cepeda shared the table with PTC sales manager Debra Camacho.
McDonald’s Saipan general manager Marcia Ayuyu, who came with her daughter Ashley, said she tried the French Toast with Strawberry Syrup, which was divine. She said she liked the way the cream was inside the French toast, making the whole gastronomic experience special.
Herman’s Bakery’s Juan Pan Guerrero also had similar good words for the expanded menu.
“The food was great as well as the presentation. …The Coffee Room offers a delicious array of choices. It’s a good restaurant destination for both our locals and tourists. Great settings and décor and my congratulations to our host Igor [Karapetyan].”
DFS Galleria Saipan president Marian Aldan-Pierce said The Coffee Shop is yet another must-visit establishment for local residents and tourists on Saipan.
“Saipan is lucky to have a place with the ambiance and selection of excellent coffees, pastries, and now regular breakfast at The Coffee Room N-106. Their attention to detail is impeccable and it is very refreshing to know that as much as they can, their foods are made from locally grown/available produce/products. It is such a treat to go there with one’s VIPs—be it your loved ones, friends, or business associates.”
Aldan-Pierce, who also chairs the Marianas Visitors Authority board, came with Saipan Chamber of Commerce executive director Richard Pierce.
Others spotted sampling the new breakfast menu included Northern Marianas College-CREES’ Patricia Coleman, NMC dean of student services Leo Pangelinan, lawyer Joe Hill, Tan Holdings’ Vince Seman and his wife Kathrine Cachero, Church 360 pastor Aaron Wood, Saipan Supersaver’s Kayla Wood, Markova Tours’ Ekaterina Markova, Garapan Elementary School’s Marie Castro, and Zoning Board’s Maryann Borja.
The rest of The Coffee Room N-106’s new breakfast menu include Cherry Tomato with Sunny Side-up, Granola with Yogurt, Hotdog and Potato Omelet, Hot Dog “Sunrise,” Italian Hot Sausage Omelet, Sauteed Mahi-Mahi, Okra and Bacon Omelet, “Good Morning” Sandwich, Mozzarella Tomato Omelet, Scampi Breakfast, and Omelet “Michelle.”
Karapetyan said they decided to spruce up their breakfast fare so that the community can enjoy food prepared by a “good-level kitchen.” Prices range from as low as $5.75 to as high $13.75.
The new breakfast menu is available from 7am to 10am. Karapetyan said they are pretty flexible, however, if guests want to order items from the breakfast menu.
The Coffee Room N-106, located at the ground floor of the Family Commercial Building in Garapan, opened in August. It comfortably seats up to 40 people and has WiFi available.
