Police hunting down woman who allegedly stole a TV set

Police are hunting down a woman who allegedly stole a flat screen TV from a house in Chalan Kanoa.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Travis Hurst said yesterday that police are seeking the assistance of the community in locating Maybeleen Saimon, who is wanted pursuant to an arrest warrant for theft.

Hurst said the 30-year-old Saimon is also known as Nancy.

Saimon allegedly stole a 30” to 39” flat screen TV from a house in Chalan Kanoa on Oct. 9, 2013.

Hurst said police have attempted to search and apprehend the suspect at her known address and other areas that she frequented but failed to find her.

“Anyone who sees or knows Ms. Maybeleen Saimon’s whereabouts is asked to call the DPS emergency line number 911 and call the Criminal Bureau of Investigation office at 664-9006. If you want to remain anonymous please contact the Crime Stoppers at 234-7272 or nmicrimestoppers.net,” the DPS spokesman said.

Saimon was described as a Pohnpeian, about 5’2” to 5’3” in height, dark complexioned, and weighing 160 to 180 pounds.

In November 2006, Saimon was arrested for allegedly resisting police’s arrest and interfering and obstructing a police officer’s investigation into a man who was driving recklessly along Beach Road in San Jose.
