WIA trainees complete certified phlebotomy technician course

(Contributed Photo) Workforce Investment Agency participants complete the Certified Phlebotomy Technician course offered by one of WIA’s approved service provider, Pinnacle Staffing, LLC in partnership with Guam Marianas Training Center.

The training is 80 hours and involves practice of venipuncture, capillary puncture, special collection procedures, quality control, infection control, and safety.

They are subject to the National Certification Exam administered by the National Healthcare Association and has been successfully achieved by most while others are awaiting their examination date.
