UniFil president Rodney Cabarles said that UniFil treasurer Tess Sanchez was able to solicit prizes that include cash, in-kind prizes, and gift certificates for the games.

Sanchez thanked the following vendors and sponsors for their generosity: Long Feng Store, Huang Shun Store, Lucky Quiang Store, Tinian Ice & Water, 3K’s Store, Island Store, JC Café, Johnson’s Air-conditioning, Slake Beauty Salon, SM Mart, Salon de Manila, Mercy Snack Mobile, Keridas Restaurant, Susan’s Creations, and Lt. Gov. Jude U. Hofschneider.

UniFil secretary Liz Hofschneider was the emcee of the program.

“It was indeed a fun day for all of us. I would like to extend my appreciation to all the officers and members who contributed food and their resources to the success of the party, especially Ms. Vina Hofschneider from the Mayor’s Office, Mr. Rodel Valiente, and his volunteers,” said Cabarles.

The UniFil president said he will be on a monthlong vacation in the Philippines and will bring with him the $2,253.28 cashiers check donation for Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims. He will turn it over to ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya Foundation.

Cabarles is also appealing to the Tinian community to support the cockfight fundraiser on Dec. 28, which also aims also to benefit the Yolanda victims.
