Labor reviewing over 5,000 registered unemployed individuals with résumés

The CNMI Department of Labor website went online in 2005 to allow unemployed individuals to register for job placement assistance. To date, some 5,118 unemployed individuals with posted résumés have yet to be certified.

In its new effort to provide a better and accelerated service to the unemployed, Labor is actively reviewing and certifying these résumés and referring them to JVAs posted online that fits their qualifications. Employers will be seeing an increased number of CNMI DOL Employment Services qualified referrals looking for employment opportunities attached to their JVAs.

The website at the same time will be undergoing major changes that will be more responsive with the use of technological system advances. These new transformation initiatives being implemented will reduce, if not remove, processes that are currently hindering the unemployed’s need for an accelerated, responsive, and efficient service.

The CNMI DOL Employment Services Division kindly reminds unemployed registered individuals to go online at www.marianaslabor.net to register, update their information, apply for jobs posted, or make contact with the Employment Services Division for assistance at 664-3190 or 322-0996. (Office of the Governor)
