Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled by the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, a high surf advisory remains in effect for north facing reefs until noon today, Wednesday.
Hazardous surf of 7 to 9 feet will continue along north facing reefs then subside below hazardous levels to between 6 and 8 feet by late Wednesday morning.
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in these conditions. If travel by boat is necessary, exercise caution especially near reef lines and when entering or leaving harbors and inlets. Avoid venturing near exposed reefs and beaches, especially those along north and northeast facing reefs as rip currents is life threatening.
