The 9th Ambassadors, Consuls General and Tourism Directors Tour in the Philippines will take place this year from July28 to July 31, 2014 (Basic Tour) and from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2014 (Post Tour).
According to the Philippine Consulate General, the basic tour package includes hotel accommodation at Dusit Thani Manila, daily buffet breakfast, two lunches, two dinners with special entertainment. There will be n historic wreath-laying ceremony at Rizal Park, an audience with President Benigno S. Aquino III, followed by lunch at Malacañang Heroes Hall. There will also be a running tour of Manila and Makati area, a visit to the University of Santo Tomas, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and Ayala Museum and out-of- town tour to Villa Escudero in Laguna.
After the ACGTD Tour, post-tour packages outside Manila to premier destinations such as Laoag-Vigan, Banaue/Sagada, Iloilo/Bacolod, Cebu/Bohol, Camiguin, Kalibo-Boracay, Puerto Princesa, Camsur-Legaspi can be availed of by the participants.
While the details of the tour package are still being finalized, those who are interested to participate are encouraged to "save the date" or “block off their calendars” on the dates to avoid conflict with other travel plans.
