Four suspected poker robbers fall

Detectives arrested on Tuesday four men who were allegedly responsible for the recent armed robbery at a poker arcade in San Antonio.

Arrested were Anthony Campos, 20; Clifford P. Masga, 18; Michael Jordan Palacios, 18; and Patrick C. Ito, 19.

A $100,000 cash bail each was initially imposed on the defendants for their temporary liberty. They were brought to Superior Court yesterday afternoon for a bail hearing.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lei Ogumoro said detectives at DPS Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a joint operation that resulted with the arrest of the four suspects.

Ogumoro said police determined that the four were involved in the robbery at Golden Poker Game Room on April 12.

Ogumoro said the incident involved three masked men who were armed with a crowbar, pipe, and hammer. Police said no one was hurt in the incident, but the robbers managed to run off with $4,045.

Preliminary investigation showed that the suspect holding a stick had ordered the security guard, MD. Omar Faruk, and a Chinese male customer to stand at the corner of the game room with their hands in the air.

The two others broke into the cashier's booth by kicking the door open. The female cashier, Yin Li, was not hurt.

The incident came in the wake of several poker arcade robberies on the island.
