Nursing training program ends today

The Area Health Education Center, AHEC, at the Northern Marianas College announces the completion of the Nursing Assistant Training Program today, Aug. 10, 2007. Certificates will be given to the graduating participants tomorrow, Aug. 11, 2007, at Aqua Resort Club’s Raraina Restaurant at 11am.

Registered Nurses Elizabeth Torres-Untalan, Pascuana Calvo and Rosa M. Tudela conducted the training. The instructors received Nursing Instructional Training from Kapiolani Community College.

AHEC is a federal grant under the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii. The CNMI AHEC is one of several in the Pacific. Its mission is to increase and improve quantity, quality and diversity of the health workforce in the area. AHEC is developing a variety of allied health training including Pharmacy Tech in nursing.
