The Carolinian bilingual teachers of Oleai Elementary School are planning to build an utt on the campus and are enlisting the help of the school’s alumni as well as parents of students.

Bilingual teachers Rachel Kaipat, Lorna Rangamar, Antonette Camacho, and Larry Lifoifoi are heading the effort for the construction of the utt.

“This month is Cultural Heritage Month…and we would like to culminate this with the knowledge that we have instilled knowledge and pride in our children as to their Carolinian and Chamorro heritage,” the four Carolinian bilingual teachers said.

Alumni and parents interested in helping OES Carolinian bilingual teachers in building the utt may contact Kaipat or Rangamar at 664-3942. Messages can also be left with secretary Bego Cruz.

A meeting about the plan to construct the utt would also be held tomorrow, Sept. 15, 5:30pm at the OES campus. (PR)
