The next round of qualifiers for the CNMI National Golf Team for the 6th Micronesian Games would be held tomorrow, April 8, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort west course.
Coordinator Jess Wabol said hopefuls for the men’s team will be teeing off from the blue marker, while the women will tee off from their customary red tee.
The rest of the April-May schedule for the qualifiers are April 23 at the Laolao Bay Golf resort east course; April 30 at the Kingfisher Golf Links; and May 20 at Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort. Wabol has also set May 21 as a make-up day for golfers who missed a round.
Wabol said check in time for tomorrow’s qualifier is set at 11am with tee time an hour later at noon. Entry fee is $30 and is inclusive of green fees. A third of the entry fees will be donated to the Micro Games kitty bag.
Wabol is expected to pick five golfers for the men’s team and same number for the women’s team a month or two before the start of the Games, which is set from June 23 to July 3 on Saipan.
