11 teams sign up for Custom Goodwill softball tournament
Custom Goodwill Non-Profit Organization is one team short of its 12-team target for this weekend’s softball fundraiser, according to president Samantha Salas.
She said so far 11 teams have signed up and paid their $100 entry fee for the three-day softball tournament set at the Capital Hill Ballfield.
Salas said the 11 teams that will swing the bats and run the bases this weekend are Mangge, FAS, Your Balls, Faha, Sufa, DCEPT&6, Miller Killer, Heats, AJ’z, Natibu, and Sakudi Umbre.
She added that the organization can still accommodate a 12th team provided that the team submits its entry before the 6pm deadline today, Oct. 17.
The Custom Goodwill Fundraising Softball Tournament will kick off today with matches scheduled from 6pm to 9pm at the Capital Hill venue. Action resumes the entire day tomorrow from 9am to 9pm with the remaining elimination round games, the playoffs, and the finals set on Sunday.
