Application packet may be picked up at the Registrar\u2019s Office from 7:30am to 3:15pm.  <\/p>\n<p>Documents required with submission of application are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Copy of your child\u2019s birth certificate<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Copy of his\/her immunization records<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; School Entrance Health Certificate (from CHC)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Recent passport-size photograph<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Official transcript from previous school<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Completed Student Health Profile (in the application packet)<\/p>\n<p>At GCA, we are committed to excellence in various aspects of your child\u2019s education. Lucky R now has now has the tickets available for the Promotion Ceremony buffet. They are being sold at our school cantina for $5 each, which includes a dinner plate with two choices, salad and a drink.  Tickets will also be sold May 10 at the Science Fair, and May 11-12 for the PTSA\/7 grade orientations.<\/p>\n<p>2. 7th Grade Orientations:  We will have a brief orientation for our feeder schools on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, from 6-7pm.  A PowerPoint Presentation and school tour will be included. There will be time for questions and answers.  Schools are asked to adhere to the following schedule:<\/p>\n<p>n Thursday May 11: GTC, TAN, KES, SAES, DES<\/p>\n<p>n Friday, May12: SVS, GES, WSR<\/p>\n<p>3. The Awards Ceremony has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 13, from 9-11am at the Multi-Purpose Center. If your child is receiving an award, an invitation will be sent home; however, all students, staff, and community members are invited, no matter who is receiving an award.<\/p>\n<p>4. May 8-12 is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Encourage your child to do something nice to show his\/her teachers some appreciation.  You can Google for ideas, ask Ms. Grayer, adviser for the NJHS, or call Ms. Beth at 237-3427 for some ideas.  NJHS will be helping the PTSA with this special event this year.  Parents are welcome to show their appreciation as well.<\/p>\n<p>Any 8th grader guilty of behavior which could be a suspendable offense will not participate in the promotion ceremony.
