The May Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, at the Saipan Bowling Center.<\/p>\n
The competition is exclusive for Saipan Bowling Association members with participants limited to 60 on Sunday and 48 on Monday.<\/p>\n
Sunday’s roll-off will begin as early as 3pm, while Monday’s competition starts at 6pm. Awarding ceremonies immediately follow the end of competition on Monday.<\/p>\n
Members have the option to bowl on Sunday or Monday, or on both days, provided that the $15 entry fee is paid. Bowlers who did not bowl on Sunday will be given priority for the Monday shift. Only the higher score will count for the tournament. <\/p>\n
The champion is guaranteed $100 in prize money but it could go up to as much $150 depending on the number of participants. Women participants will only have separate prizes if there are at least 10 entries.<\/p>\n
Youth bowlers (12 to 19 years old, not bowling in any leagues or averaging less than 160 in any league) will only bowl on Sunday. Entry fee is $10.<\/p>\n
The Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes Tournament aims to crown 12 monthly champions through the course of the year. <\/p>\n
