The United Filipino Organization is trying to locate a Filipino woman who was allegedly raped in her workplace in Kagman this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been asking around to find her. I was informed that she\u2019s Filipina so we\u2019d like to extend help in any way possible,\u201d said UFO co-chair Ed Reyes in an interview yesterday.<\/p>\n
He said the Philippine Labor Representative Office on Saipan has also expressed concern over the issue.<\/p>\n
The Labor Office documents cases involving Filipino workers in the CNMI.<\/p>\n
Reyes said neither his group nor the Labor Office has information as to the identity of the alleged rape victim or her employer.<\/p>\n
Police reports said that the woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint inside her residence in Kagman early Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, believed to be a houseworker was reportedly taken to the Commonwealth Health Center for medical examination.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim described the suspect as a young local or Micronesian who was wearing a brown shirt, blue jean shorts, and had white gloves.<\/p>\n
Based on the preliminary investigation, the suspect broke into the residence and entered the victim’s room, threatened her with a knife and sexually assaulted her.<\/p>\n
