{"id":106715,"date":"2006-12-05T19:01:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-05T19:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a9de9d00-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2006-12-05T19:01:00","modified_gmt":"2006-12-05T19:01:00","slug":"a9de9d14-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a9de9d14-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Ruth Coleman back as MVAO director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran Ruth Coleman was re-appointed to her former position as Military Veterans Affairs Office director, effective Monday this week.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman took the place of former director Martin Sablan, who has been transferred to the Department of Public Works\u2019 Building Safety Code Division. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very honored for the trust that the acting governor has given me,\u201d Coleman said.<\/p>\n<p>She said her responsibilities as the MVAO\u2019s director is nothing new because she had worked in that post for a year and a half during the previous Babauta administration.<\/p>\n<p>She said serving the CNMI\u2019s veterans is beyond politics. \u201cWhat I do is all in the name of helping our veterans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coleman has been with the MVAO for over four years now. She said she has been doing her job at the same level, whether as deputy executive officer or director. <\/p>\n<p>She said nothing has changed in the office\u2019s plans for the veterans in the CNMI and that she would continue to provide excellent services to CNMI veterans. <\/p>\n<p>With the recent opening of the Veterans Cemetery and other projects in the future, she said, she would try to live up to the veterans\u2019 expectations in providing them the services they truly deserve.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan told [I]Saipan Tribune[\/I] in an earlier interview that he would gladly relinquish his post to Coleman since she has been efficient at MVAO. <\/p>\n<p>Coleman said Sablan\u2019s appointment to DPW was effective Nov. 26. He has been confirmed as director of the Building Safety Code Division.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Gov. Timothy P.
