{"id":106738,"date":"2006-12-05T21:03:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-05T21:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a9deb73c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2006-12-05T21:03:00","modified_gmt":"2006-12-05T21:03:00","slug":"a9deb750-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a9deb750-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"WPS dominates XC 9-and-under"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[B][I]Last of four-part series[\/I][\/B]<\/p>\n<p>Whispering Palms School continues to dominate the 9-and-under category, and easily cruised to victory in the 2006 All Schools Cross Country Championships last Saturday at the Laolao bay Golf Resort.<\/p>\n<p>The school won both the boys and girls competition in the age division, taking home two championship trophies.<\/p>\n<p>Leading the way in the boys\u2019 division was Kenyon Schultz, who tackled the one-mile challenge with ease as he crossed the finish line in just 10:13.<\/p>\n<p>Right behind him were teammates Michael Grandinetti and Quintin Ramsey, as the two clocked in at 11:19 and 11:51 to take second and third place.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth place went to Aaron Lee as he finished in 12:55, while Colin Ramsey and Raj Ramnani crossed the finish line in 13:47 and 14:10 to complete Whispering Palms\u2019 push.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Gabrielle Race led the way for the school in the girls\u2019 division as she took the top spot in just 10:14.<\/p>\n<p>Neghar Rastguiy and Nishta Thomas were just as impressive as the two placed second and third in 12:05 and 12:38, while Annali Livingston and Emily Jones closed Whispering Palms\u2019 campaign with a bang in 14:50 and 19:03.<\/p>\n<p>The Championships served as the finale for the 2006 All Schools Cross Country Series.
