{"id":106908,"date":"2006-12-11T21:12:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-11T21:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a9dfd880-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2006-12-11T21:12:00","modified_gmt":"2006-12-11T21:12:00","slug":"a9dfd893-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a9dfd893-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"MVA hire Tidwell as its new PIO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority has named Andy Tidwell, president of Couture Marketing, as its public information officer for fiscal year 2007, according to an MVA statement issued today.  <\/p>\n<p>Tidwell\u2019s primary responsibility will be to release information about the marketing efforts of MVA both locally in the CNMI and globally in their target tourist destinations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMVA is very happy to retain the services of Mr. Tidwell,\u201d said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio.  \u201cHe brings to us 20-plus years of media and marketing experience, specifically in the tourism industry. In light of our economic times, Mr. Tidwell\u2019s services are essential in communicating to the public MVA\u2019s efforts and successes in the implementation of the governor\u2019s 5-year strategic initiatives for tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to the opportunities ahead with MVA. Tourism is the lifeline of the CNMI and I am excited to work to help promote the efforts of MVA,\u201d said Tidwell.  \u201cTourism affects the entire CNMI and is everyone\u2019s business.  I applaud MVA\u2019S work and look forward to showcasing the efforts of MVA as they work toward the goal of 1 million visitors by 2010.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tidwell will continue to work in his capacity as president of Couture Marketing while working with MVA.
