Saipan Walking Association, Inc., in collaboration with the Marianas Visitors Authority, will hold the annual Christmas in the Marianas Walk tomorrow along the Saipan Beach Pathway.<\/p>\n
\u201cBring you families and friends for a healthy walk. Finish early and enjoy a festive holiday celebration,\u201d said SAIWAI officer and event coordinator Mario Espeleta.<\/p>\n
The walk will start with a 4pm registration at the Chamolinian Cultural Village Utt in Garapan and participants have a choice of taking part in either the 10- or five-kilometer courses of the event. Registration fee is $6, includes event T-shirt and refreshments. <\/p>\n
As part of the Christmas in the Marianas celebration, a parade by elementary students has also been scheduled to start beginning at 6pm from the American Memorial Park to the Chamolinian Cultural Village.<\/p>\n
It will be followed by costume contest and fireworks. Drinks, BBQ, ice cream, and shave ice will be available for sale during the parade and costume contests. <\/p>\n
\u201cSee you all there and Happy Holidays to everyone!\u201d added Espeleta.<\/p>\n
Like all SAIWAI activities, IVV members will receive credit for joining the Christmas in the Marianas Walk.<\/p>\n
IVV has member walking clubs in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, the CNMI, and 29 other European countries, including Germany.<\/p>\n
