The play is an adaptation of the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, but this play version by Phil Wilmott is a zany and preposterous take-off on the daring adventure.

Teens from Marianas High School, Saipan Southern High School, Grace Christian Academy, and Saipan International School reprise the roles of the show: Jim Hawkins (a good-hearted English lad), Long John Silver (a dastardly pirate), George Merry/Billy Bones (a pirate with a treasure map), Lady Trelawney (a rich entrepreneur), Miss Livesy (her butterfly-enraptured scientific sidekick), Captain Smollett (captain of the Hispaniola), Meg Trueblood (a tavern owner), Ben Gunn (a castaway), and a cast of pirates including Blind Pugh, Black Dog, Israel Hands, Shoreditch Sal, Nightingale Nell, Picadilly Poll, Cheng I Sao, Gentleman Jack, and the parrot Captain Flint, along with a fantasy revue chorus of cheese and mice!

The show is directed by MHS teens Liezel Tiples and Mathew Lopez, with assistance from technical director Kristine Valencia and a large tech crew.

Show time is 7pm on Friday and Saturday and 3pm on Sunday, Nov. 18, 19, and 20, at the Pedro P.
