{"id":11719,"date":"2011-11-18T02:37:20","date_gmt":"2011-11-18T02:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=11719"},"modified":"2011-11-18T02:37:20","modified_gmt":"2011-11-18T02:37:20","slug":"3-rota-4-saipan-beach-sites-red-flagged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/3-rota-4-saipan-beach-sites-red-flagged\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Rota, 4 Saipan beach sites red-flagged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Division of Environment Quality has red-flagged Rota&#8217;s Kokomo Beach, Mobil storm drain, and District 2 storm drain, and Saipan&#8217;s central repair shop, DPW channel bridge, south Puerto Rico dump, and CK District 4 drainage and is advising the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of these locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.<\/p>\n<p>DEQ said that samples collected from these locations had excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria (enterococci), which can indicate the presence of human and animal waste in the water.<br \/>\nWater samples were taken from 12 locations on Rota and 38 on Saipan this week.
