Sutherland<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>The Pohnpei Amateur Softball League is putting on a coed slow-pitch softball fundraiser tournament this weekend from Nov. 18 through Nov. 20 at the Capital Hill Ballfield.<\/p>\n<p>The PASL is trying to raise money to help field a men and women&#8217;s team to compete in a goodwill softball tournament in Guam next week. However, event organizers were unable to verify the specifics of the off-island activity as of press time.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, the teams will be made up of a mixed group of PASL players.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 12 teams have already confirmed their participation and slots are still available.<\/p>\n<p>The entrance fee to participate is set at $100 per team and prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 place finishers.<\/p>\n<p>All rosters must contain at least three female players and at least two women players must be out in the field at all times.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact Semerina Simram at 785-1806, Tony Luzama at 256-0141, Erlinda Nabuti at 287-7464, or Frank Shiro at 287-3732.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Walter J.
