{"id":120978,"date":"2008-03-20T16:27:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-20T16:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/af65a12b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-03-20T16:27:00","modified_gmt":"2008-03-20T16:27:00","slug":"af65a13c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/af65a13c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI rolls out Push 2 Talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pacific Telecommunications Inc. launched yesterday morning its latest product line, Push 2 Talk, a Marianas-wide radio communication system with cellular, text, and Web-enabled capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Held at the Tapochao Restaurant of the Saipan World Resort, the product launching was attended by officials and representatives of several island companies and the government, as well as several PTI officials and sales associates led by Marketing Manager Kathryn Barry.<\/p>\n<p>This new state-of-the-art product offers radio and voice services in one phone and runs on PTI\u2019s CDMA data service for reliable and quality connections.<\/p>\n<p>PTI senior engineer Mike Watanabe said that Push 2 Talk gives PTI\u2019s business customers another tool to stay in touch with their customers, employees, families, and friends in both the CNMI and Guam. The phones are also capable of long distance calls.<\/p>\n<p>Guests at yesterday\u2019s launching had the chance to test drive three phones under the Push 2 Talk system: the Motorola L7, the Motorola W385, and the Kyocera KX 440.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnhanced features include a web-based self-management platform. The system maintains contact lists and allows customers to easily add and delete users when needed,\u201d Watanabe said.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that, with Push 2 Talk, people need not carry two phones\u2014a radio and a cell phone\u2014because Push 2 Talk handsets can easily handle both functions with just a push of a button.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPTI has multiple plans to meet all business needs and, with PTI\u2019s superior voice quality there will be no need to carry two phones,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>PTI offers several Push 2 Talk plans that range from as low as $25 a month (unlimited Push 2 Talk radio only) to $120 a month (1,500 minute plan, with free 1,500 talk minutes, free local test messaging, and free unlimited radio PTI Wave and Internet).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany plans include the ability to surf the Web and access PTI Mobile Wave, which keeps all the latest news, sports and entertainment only a few clicks away,\u201d said Watanabe.<\/p>\n<p>PTI offers several phones that have Push 2 Talk capability and coverage is available in the CNMI and Guam for a complete four-island coverage.<\/p>\n<p>PTI also gave away several raffle prizes during yesterday\u2019s launching.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about PTI\u2019s products and services, call 682-4PTI or visit www.pticom.com.
