{"id":121094,"date":"2008-03-24T18:04:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-24T18:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/af709dbe-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-03-24T18:04:00","modified_gmt":"2008-03-24T18:04:00","slug":"af709dd2-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/af709dd2-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Deportation sought for MIA farmer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Division of Immigration has filed a deportation case against a Bangladeshi farmer who is allegedly an overstaying alien for about a year now.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration investigator Nicolas Reyes stated in court papers that MD Golgar H. Bhuiyan is a deportable alien pursuant to Commonwealth law and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman ordered the 34-year-old Bhuiyan to appear in court and explain why he should not be deported.<\/p>\n<p>Reyes said Bhuiyan\u2019s nonresident worker\u2019s entry permit, issued on Nov. 9, 2006, expired on Oct. 5, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Reyes said he received a memorandum from the Department of Labor director regarding Bhuiyan\u2019s settlement agreement with his previous employer on March 15, 2007.
