Yana and Antonio M. Atalig are still in jail and are expected to appear in court this week.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Tribune learned that a status conference in the civil contempt against Yana and Atalig was for this Thursday at 9am.<\/p>\n<p>At the status conference, Superior Court associate judge Kenneth Govendo may determine if he will order the continued imprisonment of the two lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Department of Corrections commissioner Lino Tenorio said Yana and Atalig are detained in the same cell.<\/p>\n<p>Tenorio said the two lawyers are receiving the same treatment just like any other detainees.<\/p>\n<p>Yana and Atalig have been in jail since March 25 when Govendo threw them to jail for not complying with his order to return the $1.3 million in attorney\u2019s fees that the two lawyers received in the controversial Angel Malite estate probate.<\/p>\n<p>Govendo ordered Yana and Atalig to report to DOC to serve their 30-day sentence for civil contempt.<\/p>\n<p>Govendo said the two lawyers may purge the contempt by posting $1,285,500. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attorneys Reynaldo O.
