{"id":122207,"date":"2008-04-28T17:17:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-28T17:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aff28af7-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-04-28T17:17:00","modified_gmt":"2008-04-28T17:17:00","slug":"aff28b08-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/aff28b08-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Guam buildup village meetings set"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[B]SANTA RITA, Guam[\/B]\u2014The Joint Guam Program Office, in conjunction with the Government of Guam, will hold village meetings in the villages of Yigo, Dededo, Yona, and Mangilao  to discuss the status of the realignment of U.S. Forces from Okinawa to Guam. <\/p>\n<p>The meetings will consist of information tables, presentations and a question and answer session, and will offer attendees an opportunity to discuss the realignment with program leaders such as Major General (Ret) David F. Bice, JGPO Executive Director, Captain Robert Lee, Acting Director of JGPO Forward,  Rear Admiral William French, Commander, Naval Forces Marianas and other DoD officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough the meetings are being held in four villages at this time, we recognize the impact this will have on the community island-wide,\u201d said Bice.  \u201cResidents from other villages are welcome to attend these sessions and we will continue to keep the community informed and engaged in the coming months.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>All Village Meetings run from 6pm to 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>May 12 \u2013 Mangliao \u2013 Mangliao Community Center<\/p>\n<p>May 13 \u2013 Yigo \u2013 Yigo Gymnasium<\/p>\n<p>May 14 \u2013 Dededo \u2013 Dededo Senior Center<\/p>\n<p>May 15 \u2013 Yona \u2013 Yona Community Center<\/p>\n<p>For more information contact Capt.
