It also didn’t hurt that they have played together for so many years.

Charlie Fernandez led four other Tigers that finished in double digits, pumping in a game-high 30 points, while Godo Flores added 19 more. Three other players finished with 18, 14, and 11 each.

Joel Miranda paced Housekeeping with 21 points, while Gaby “Ginobili” Cajayon added 17 but no other player scored 10 points or more.

In the second game, Finance/Shipping Department bounced back from its opening day loss to the Tigers by dealing the Chefs a 96-66 trouncing.

Joey “Caguioa” Garcia powered his way inside the paint to keep the Chefs’ in the game.

Injuries, however, took its toll for the Chefs as Garcia sprained his ankle that forced him to sit out the remainder of the match. The Chefs were already missing the streak-shooting J.P. Garcia, who re-injured his knee.

With the Garcia out, Finance’s Dennis Espiritu took over going 3-for-3 from the 3-point area to lead his team’s breakaway. He finished with 22 points while getting a lot of help from three of his teammates who scored 21, 18, and 12 markers.

Joey Garcia managed to score 20 points before being sidelined due to injury.

First Game

F&B Service Tigers 94 – Fernandez 30, Flores 19, Sabordo 18, Gammad 14, Pavino 11, Dancel 2.

FO/Housekeeping 68 – Miranda 21, Cajayon 17, Laurio 8, Agader 7, Patron 4, Divinagracia 4, Lauron 3, Lumayag 2, Carreon 2.

Scoring by quarters: 25-12, 51-30, 68-41, 94-68.

Referees: Don Sarmiento, Romy Libut, and MarioMorilla.

Second Game

Finance/Shipping 96 – Espiritu 22, Bustillos 21, Piol 18, Malimban 12, Manriquez 8, Torregosa 7, Gerogalin 6, Rosales 2.

F&B Chefs 66 – J.
