{"id":122452,"date":"2008-05-05T20:56:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-05T20:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b00c6778-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-05-05T20:56:00","modified_gmt":"2008-05-05T20:56:00","slug":"b00c678f-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b00c678f-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Two repeat as Kids XTEARRA winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maxi Braig and Nuri Gutzwiller-Malakut returned to the winners\u2019 circle of their respective age groups in the second edition of the Kids XTEARRA Triathlon Saturday at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Braig and Gutzwiller-Malakut continue to dominate their respective divisions with another amazing finishes in the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups.<\/p>\n<p>Braig completed the 200m swim, 800m bike, and 400m run in 12 minutes and 56 seconds, while Gutzwiller-Malakut compiled a time of 12:55 in the 300m swim, 800m bike, and 400m run.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Kimball placed second to Braig in the 9-10 division with a combined time of 13:17 while Misaki Cramer came in third with 15:17. Bryce Daly swam 3:59, biked 7:23, and ran 4:50 for a 16:12 total.<\/p>\n<p>Kento Akimaru bested Cole Chambers and Steven Goodwin in the boys\u2019 8-and-under division, while Kazumi Otake, who tried his first individual race, topped the girls\u2019 side.<\/p>\n<p>Akimaru timed in at 8:33 in the 100m swim, 300m bike, and 300m run distance of the 8-and-under class. Chambers clocked in at 10:05 followed by Goodwin\u2019s 10:23.  Otake was the second fastest finisher in the division with a total time of 9:55.<\/p>\n<p>It was Otake\u2019s first individual triathlon race after winning last month\u2019s relay with Pia Tenorio.<\/p>\n<p>Race organizer Michael Stewart congratulated all participants and thanked all parents and volunteers that helped him made the race safe for the kids.
