HAGATNA, Guam\u2014First Hawaiian Bank is donating furniture from its old Tamuning Branch along with a $2,500 contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam, according to a bank statement issued yesterday<\/p>\n
Laura-Lynn Dacanay, FHB\u2019s senior vice president, Guam and CNMI region manager, and vice president and Tamuning Branch manager Peter Valdez presented a check for $2,500 in addition to the furniture donation to Victor P. Camacho, executive director of Guam\u2019s Make-A-Wish Foundation.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst Hawaiian Bank has been a longtime supporter and friend of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam. Through their annual Kokua Ma`i campaign, employees from Dededo, Maite and Tamuning branches donate over $4,000 each year. Adding this contribution of furniture and funds serves as a strong reminder of First Hawaiian Bank\u2019s commitment to Guam\u2019s local community. Through First Hawaiian Bank\u2019s generosity, we will continue to fulfill our mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy,\u201d said Camacho.<\/p>\n

Through the generosity of donors and sponsors, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization, grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to help speed their recovery or to just put a smile on their face. <\/p>\n
